A wide frame looks solid and luxurious. The price of a wide frame is usually higher than that of a narrow one, but if you want a cheaper option, you can choose a plastic wide frame. Also, if you are framing a small object, even framing it in a luxurious, wide frame, you won't feel a significant price difference, and a small picture in a wide frame will look elegant.
